Jess Adams (They/Them/Theirs)
Hi there! My name is Jess Adams and I am beginning my graduate school career this semester, over in the Counseling Department! This is my sixth semester with Peer Mentors. I have two Weenie-Bagel (Dachshund, Basset Hound, and Beagle) mixes and too many pictures to share! I hope to pursue a career in Clinical Counseling to hopefully work in the field of victim advocacy and work on reentry teams for offenders being released from the prison system. Additionally, I would love to become a professor of psychology! I can best assist in the fields of Abnormal, Intermediate Statistics, Sensation and Perception, Cognitive Psych, other upper-division psychology courses, graduate school prep questions, and other general psychology questions. I look forward to seeing you all online or safely in person!

Rou (Julien Rouvere) (He/Him/His)
Hi, I'm Rou. I am an MA grad student and assistant for 303 (Sensation and Perception) and 465 (Advanced Statistics). I am a single parent and was out of academics for eight years before I came back to finish my BA! I can help with writing papers and research reports, critically reading articles, APA, etc. Please feel free to visit my office hours for any questions, especially if you want to get more connected with the department, get involved with research, apply to grad school, or need info on-campus services. :)
Karla Montiel
Hello! My name is Karla and I am a 4th year at CSUF. I am majoring in psychology with a minor in child and adolescent development. After graduating I am planning on going into a master program. I hope to become a professor at a university. I am part of the board of the Psychology Department Student Association and Active Minds club at Fullerton. I am a first generation college student. My hobbies include traveling and painting. I also love fashion. I am happy to help with the courses abnormal psych, cognitive psych, research methods in psych, social psych, and psych human sexual behavior. I am also very familiar with the resources on campus as I have worked at the Dean of Students and Student Business Services. This is my first semester Peer Mentoring and I am excited to help with any questions you may have!
Espy Castillon
Hello, my name is Espy and I am currently a senior majoring in Psychology. I am a first generation Latina. The ultimate goal is to hopefully get into a graduate program and earn my masters in Clinical Psychology. I hope to become a future mental health therapist for children/ adolescents. For fun I love to listen to music, it’s 2000’s r&b/hip hop for me! LOL. If I am not listening to my favorite throwbacks then I am watching a Laker game! Big time fan! Moving forward, the courses that I can help best with with are: Introductory to Psychology (PSYC 101), Abnormal Psychology (PSYC 341), Personality Psychology (PSYC 331), Social Psychology (PSYC 351), Industrial/Organizational Psychology (PSYC 391), Evolutionary Psychology (PSYC 371), Clinical Psychology (PSYC 481). Hi I’m Eisel! I’m a 4th year undergraduate Psychology major at CSUF, planning to also minor in human services. I love trying new places to eat and most of my hobbies are art focused, such as drawing and editing. I have a huge appreciation for animation such as Disney, anime, etc. Some courses I can assist you with are Introductory Psychology (101), Psychology of Personality (331), and Developmental Psychology (361). You could also stop by my office hours if you need help with writing papers, APA format, or if you just need someone to talk to. Hello everyone, my name is Katarina and I am currently a second-year graduate student in the Clinical Psychology program. I primarily enjoy the areas of psychology that focus on children and adolescents as well as forensics! When I am not in school or working, I enjoy human contact and going to the beach. Hi, my name is Kris. I am a fourth year at CSUF. This is my first year as a peer mentor. I am majoring in Psychology with a minor in Cell and Molecular Biology. Once I’ve graduated, I plan on going into a masters program. I enjoy roller skating, board games and art. My favorite board game is Settlers of Catan. I enjoy painting and keeping my bullet journal. Some of the courses I can assist in are Research Methods, Developmental Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Biopsychology, and Advanced Statistics. Claudia Bobadilla
Hello, I’m Claudia! This will be my second year in the M.A. Psychological Research program and my second semester joining Peer Mentors. After I finish my masters program, my goal is to enroll into PhD programs and continue indulging in the research process in psychology. I hope to become a professor, but more so, I want to help first generation and underrepresented students (like myself) in the process. Outside of academia, I find myself connected to the arts. I also love to cook and listen to my favorite music, like electro swing (check it out). I can help out with writing and APA format, research methods, beginning statistics, and you are more than welcome to ask me anything about psychology, college, and graduate school!
Albert Dang (He/Him/His)
Hey everyone! I'm Albert. I'm a senior (Psychology major/Computer Science minor). This year is going to be my third and final year at CSUF. I plan on getting a CS master's after I graduate. In my free time, I like to binge anime seasons at a time, cook new recipes with my girlfriend, and watch basketball with my friends. During my years at Fullerton, I've gained experience as a student researcher, teacher assistant, and club officer, so come stop by during my office hours if any of those roles interest you. Hopefully, I can help make the path a little easier by referring you to the right resources to attain those positions. I've also spent countless hours contemplating different grad school trajectories so if you need help with making and organizing your undergrad goals to get into your dream program, I can also help with that too. Holly Yeh
Hi! I’m a fourth year Psychology major entering my last semester at CSUF! Some of my hobbies include watching anime, geeking out over Japanese cars, and snacking on spicy peppers while I study. I can help with most 300 level Psychology classes. I did particularly well in Abnormal Psychology, Research Methods, and the statistics classes in the major. Hi everyone! My name is Sydney Vine and I am a fourth year psychology major. I am currently in my second year at CSUF because I am a transfer student. As I leave CSUF, I plan to attend graduate school in either educational psychology or forensic and legal psychology. Hi everyone, my name is Allison Samaan and I am currently in my fourth year at CSUF. I plan on graduating in the spring, then hope to go on to grad school and ultimately become an LMFT. Hello everyone, my name is Traci Nguyen. I am a senior at CSUF, and I transferred in from Cypress College during the fall of 2020. My projected graduation date is Spring 2022, and after I receive my bachelors I hope to apply to a Master’s program in Clinical Psychology. I’m a huge nerd, and I love drawing, anime, music, and video games. Hi there! My name is Annie and I’m a 4th year psychology major pursuing a career in psychotherapy. Currently I’m applying to graduate school and PhD programs in clinical psychology, and eventually I hope to end up a psychology professor as I love teaching. In my free time, I rock climb outdoors and indoors in a gym and I love to thrift. I also dye my hair a whole lot! I can be most helpful with PSYC101, PSYC201, PSYC202, PSYC300, and PSYC331. I am currently a TA for PSYC331 and was previously a TA for PSYC201 so I have the most experience in those courses, but I’m happy to help with any general questions, or if you just want to make a new friend. Hello! My name is Daniel and I’m a 3rd year psychology undergraduate. My goal is to become a marriage and family therapist or a professional clinical counselor. It fills me with joy to help other people so I’m very happy to be here. In my free time, I practice new cooking recipes, run games of Dungeons & Dragons, and attempt random art projects. I also tend to love looking for weird and fun outfits to wear for school.
