The Fullerton Longitudinal Study (FLS) continues to be housed in the Developmental Research Center in H&SS. This year, the principal investigators have embarked on the 29 year old follow up. This assessment is being conducted in collaboration with Dr. Ronald Riggio, Director of Claremont McKenna College Kravis Leadership Center. The current aims of the research are to investigate the developmental aspects of gifted intelligence and the behavioral roots of leadership. Dr. Richard Lippa, Professor of Psychology will also be involved. He is interested in studying the psychological developmental aspects of gender preferences. Dr. George Marcoulides, Professor of Education at University of California, Riverside has been collaborating by applying his expertise in Structural Equation Modeling and Latent Transition Analyses to the cross-time data. Finally, Dr. Adele Gottfried, Professor of Educational Psychology at CSUN will continue overseeing the motivational and academic components of the research. Several students, both graduate and undergraduate, are involved at various levels.
