Black Student Psychological Association (BSPA)

The Black Student Psychological Association (BSPA) was founded in the Spring of 2025. BSPA is dedicated to cultivating a community of enthusiastic learners who are dedicated to the in-depth study of Psychology. 

Though the club's purpose is to support, inform, and uplift Black Psychology students, anyone with a genuine interest in the Psychology field is encouraged to join.

BSPA is for all students to have a space to learn and grow through events and meetings such as informational workshops, community socials, academic sessions, and more.

CSUF Asian Pacific Islander South Asian Psychological Association (CAPISAPA)

Founded in the Fall of 2023, CSUF Asian Pacific Islander South Asian Psychological Association (CAPISAPA) is a club dedicated to offering a safe space for CSUF students of all ethnicities and majors to network, connect, and make friends.

Club events include alumni and professional research panels, informational sessions on internship opportunities and graduate school, and communitiy socials. Additionally, being a part of CAPISAPA will allow members the opportunity to join the Bigs + Littles program offered within the club.

Latinx Student Psychological Association (LSPA)

Established in the Spring of 2013, the Latinx Student Psychological Association (LSPA) seeks to advocate, educate, and empower the Latinx community at CSUF to recognize their full potential in the field of psychology.

LSPA's objective is to help guide members become qualified candidates for graduate schools through the implementation of the 5 pillars: Academics, Leadership, Research Experience, Practical Experience, and Community Involvement. 

LSPA helps sponsor presentations, workshops, and discussions on various topics including graduate programs, GRE prep work, showcasing resources available on campus, difficulties facing the Latinx community, and much more. In addition, LSPA offers leadership and networking oppportunities as well as fundraisers and socials.

Peer Mentors

The Peer Mentors program provides mentoring and outreach to psychology majors, and anyone interested in psychology. Undergraduate psychology majors and MA/MS students are invited to join.

Activities include staffing the peer mentor office, offering outreach to high school and community college students, supporting the Psychology Advisement office, maintaining the peer mentor bulletin board, publishing a newsletter, and sponsoring a Psychology Day event or activity.

Psi Chi

Psi Chi is the international honor society in psychology. Psi Chi's mission is to recognize and promote excellence in the science and application of psychology. The honors society helps support students by aiding members in growing professionally, connecting with peers, and exploring career opportunities in the psychology field. 

Requirements to Join:

• Major or Minor in Psychology
• Cumulative GPA = 3.0 & Major GPA = 3.2
• Must have completed 9 PSYC units, or 6 units with 3 in progress
• Pay a one-time membership fee

Psychology Department Student Association (PDSA)

Founded in the Fall of 1973, the Psychology Department Student Association (PDSA) strives to educate and inform members of a wide variety of options within the psychology field. 

PDSA presents workshops, colloquiums, speakers, community service opportunities, and fun activities throughout the year. Some events from previous academic years include: bowling night, curriculum vitae workshop, MA/MS graduate student speakers, GRE prep workshop, NAMI walk, bake sale, volunteer opportunities, clothing drive, and more. 

Additionally, PDSA contributes to CSUF Psychology Department's annual Psychology Day by sponsoring a panel discussion on psychology degrees and careers.
