In Memorium - Dr. Melinda Blackman

Melinda Anne Carroll Blackman, professor of psychology, passed on July 10, 2026 at the age of 56. Dr. Blackman was a member of the California State University, Fullerton faculty for 30 years, including serving as the department chair. A beloved and respected teacher, Dr. Melinda Blackman made an impact on the Titan community, voted Professor of the Year 5 times between 2000 - 2006 by Psychology major students. She also received the Carol Barnes Excellence in Teacher Award by the university in 2007. 


The Department of Psychology extends its deepest condolences to her family, former students, and all who had the privilege of knowing Dr. Melinda Blackman.
